@lightintheblack everytime I play llrnr on cassette this song just takes you away. It's really to add contrast. It's like a medieval ballad to me.

Dont like this version at all and have to admit i dont like the album version either.Its the one Dio era Rainbow track I skip and for me its a dull boring ending to a GREAT album. give me Catch The Rainbow anytime.I actually like Blackmores Nights version better than this one though Ronnie voice is superb as always

Much better than the LP version , too much violins there. This is "Blackmore's Night" before the coming of Candice many years later.

A wonderful early version of one of the best songs ever written. I do miss the recorders and the strings that the final studio version has, but it's nice to see such a great song stripped back to the bare bones. I'm pleasantly surprised that thes LLRNR demos exist, as Blackmore was notorious for trying to ensure that early and rough versions were never heard by the public. LLRNR is my favourite album of all time, It's nice to hear a new version of it after 30 odd years of listening to it.

This "demo" is so much sadder than the official version... They created a very nice atmosfere, specially on the last part, i prefer this version than de album ones
