Rainbow - Long Live Rock and Roll - Re-EQ'd video free download

The title track from Rainbow's 3rd studio album.

I re-eq'd it as the original sounded a bit like it was mixed and eq'd for AM radio. The re-eq'd version is fuller and has more bite (and holds up a little better today as a result).

Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio, Cozy Powell, Bob Daisley, and David Stone.

Old men? These guys were pretty young at the time. You do understand that this was from 1978, right? This was new, exciting, and FRESH at the time. It may seem clichéd now, but back then that was completely NOT the case.

What is cliche and been-there-done-that now wasn't exactly so back then. Hard rock was only just burgeoning while metal was erupting alongside it. Sure, the lyrics and instrumentation are "generic" to us now, but back in the 70's, this was the process of the hard rock/metal genres starting to slowly cut their ties to the fertile soils they spawned from.
