This indie 45 on what I assume was the Rain Parade's own label, Llama Records, is the original 1983 version of a song that was later re-recorded for their debut album, "Emergency Third Rail Power Trip". The b-side was "Kaleidoscope". A bit of trivia for you - the eye on the cover of the picture sleeve is that of their friend from the Bangles, Susanna Hoffs.

In 1984 members of the Rain Parade, the Bangles, and other LA bands would collaborate to record a collection of favorite songs from the psychedelic era, "Rainy Day".

Thanks to the Licorice Pizza record store in my hometown that did a great job of stocking local releases like this and the Bangles' debut indie 45 when they were originally released.

Credits listed on the back of the picture sleeve:

Steven Roback - bass, vocals

Will Glenn - keyboards, tambourine

David Roback - guitar, vocals, tambourine

Matthew Piucci - guitar, vocals, sitar

Michael Murphy - drums

Recorded at Radio Tokyo

Engineer - Ethan James

Back cover photo - John Hoffs
