Rain Parade - Talking in my sleep

Wow! This takes me back nearly 30 years. Just dropped out of University, sitting on the floor of a flat in Brixton, my back against the couch with an ashtray balanced on the knee of my ripped jeans, a spliff in my hand and the only girl I ever loved (and lost) standing at the first floor bay window, looking down on the rain-splashed traffic below.I was never more alive, and never more at peace.Another life.

Oh, realised I should qualify the last comment - i wasn't some middle class uni student attaching myself to the latest band to roll up - I was an O'Level/CSE (remember them?) failure retaker at KIngsway Princeton in Kings X! Golden days. When we spent our lunch hours collecting for the miners and picketing Nazi's!

How did I miss this 30 years ago? Oh, yeah, we didn't have the internet or college radio or anything that wasn't tired, stale, or redundant. Heard it today and figured it was a current artist. Nope…

I agree and I can bet it stood the test of time really well and more than so-called rock masterpieces created in the eighties.

One of the few albums created in the 80s that's actually worth hearing. Achievement!
