Soft thunder from across the meadow

Rain buckets on the kitchen floor

No letter and the coffer is empty

But all these storms I know we'll weather

All these storms we'll ride together

I never dreamed it would be so hard girl

Never saved up for a rainy day

Never thought that we

Might howl and shiver

But all these storms I know we'll weather

All these storms we'll ride together

Pick up your heart my love

Pick up your branch and dove

Canon in the name of the lord

We got a hole to mend

We got a fire to tend

We won't let these troubles grind us

We got friends and prayers to mind us

We got seven years behind us

Long rumble coming across the meadow

Rain pouring and the buckets full

Sky cracking and the house shaking

All these storms I know we'll weather

All these storms we'll ride together

Pick up your heart my love

Pick up your branch and dove

Canon in the name of the lord

My lady look alive

Our ride will soon arrive

Lift up your eyes my dear

We need some light in here

Jam til the jam is through

We've got a hole to mend

We've got a fire to tend

We won't let these troubles find us

We got prayers on the road behind us

We got heavens horse's bridle

All these storms we'll ride together

I'm seeing this band tomorrow. Someone said they're a great jam band so I was turned off. Why do so many good bands get dubbed jam bands? This is just a great band! Can't wait for tomorrow

The one of the melody reminds me of "For the longest time"

Not my cup of tea, but I can recognize talent.

No offence but you just gave a list of musicians, not performers. Once you get a few dozen more shows under your belt you will understand the difference and why you shouldn't brag about seeing bands so far past their prime. If you like musicians listen to the radio, if you like performers catch jam bands. SCI is killing it right now.

Ever since I stumbled upon a Railroad show 5 or so years ago, they have been right there with my favorite all-time bands... so much more wholesome and uplifting than other bluegrass

@RollerDave2112 I wouldn't go as far as that. They are similar to the Dead, but I think calling them "an optimistic Grateful Dead" is a bit of a stretch.
