A legendary band with a stupid message. I won't even deny that the lyrics are catchy. Even the elitists that they hate so much are guilty of rocking out to this song with their windows down or while working out at the gym. You know they are. They are supper fun to listen to and make you want to jump that's for sure. Nobody can deny it.I can't stand the people that worship their message though and tolerate their disrespect of the flag. Bottom line is that they are legendary ear candy and the rest is just dumb. Sorry, but while their sound might be awesome and it's fun to rock out, their message as a whole is ignorant and one that preys on the uneducated. No doubt each of their songs has a few lines that make sense and may even be inspiring to some but what this band comes down to at it's core is a group that prefers anarchy in the world and if not anarchy then communism throughout.Take Woodstock 99' for instance. A festival that was supposed to promote peace and love like the hippie festival in the 60s. But whoops! The promotors made the mistake of hiring bands like RAGE and Limp Bizkit to play at the end of the festival which up until the end had been peacful due to the more mellow bands that had been playing. So RAGE gets up there and the whole crowed does the whole "FU I won't do what you tell me!" thing and starts setting the American flag on fire. Cool right? Well, next thing you know the crowed turns over all the porter potties, starts setting the whole festival on fire, causes thousands upon thousands of dollars in damage, and tons of women get raped. That's what complete anarchy looks like.I'm not saying capitalism is perfect. It is definitely not and no system is. But it is without a doubt the best of a bunch of bad options. - Communism on the other hand doesn't value creativity and I'm sure RAGE enjoys the freedom to be creative as musicians.- RAGE opposes the establishment and the current american government but under communism their band would have little to no rights.- Because communism ensures that wealth is distributed among all people there is very little incentive to work hard and therefore fans of RAGE might just find that a few concerts are canceled here and there at the last minute. "Hey Zack I don't feel like playing tonight." "Yeah, me either." - Due to the lack of a powerful economy that can support a nation's agriculture, a communist nation will do whatever is necessary to grow crops and food and therefore there is indifference towards the health of the environment. It's doubtful that today's youth (RAGE's fan base) would be happy about that.- Ah class struggles. Well, communism usually makes them worse. Because communism is essentially a government, there must be people in power and those people are considered the upper class. Everyone else is the lower class. Hey, guess what's missing? The middle. Therefore, the lower class have no opportunity to get ahead unless they become a state official or someone in power. Hah, unlikely. I wonder how many of the impoverished RAGE obsessors hate capitalism and worship the bands message without even understanding it. - How would fans even listen to RAGE under communism? Would there even be a RAGE to listen to? Would they exist but have a slightly different message? Perhaps they would rage against the control of communism once they fully understood it. If they did, would you even be able to hear their music? Not on iTunes or Spotify. Communism suppresses the entrepreneurial spirit of people like Steve Jobs and Daniel Ek. Ok, fast forward passed the mass murders, the fact that you eventually run out of other people's money to spend, and all that good stuff. The bottom line is that this band attracts either A) people who like them only for their sound and the forum they provide to rock out or B) people who have a twisted idea of the way the world works, are poor, uneducated, ignorant, or just looking for someone to be mad at.If you're in category B and you worship the message these guys spit, just remember this: At some point, some person in a suit looked at these guys in the face and said something similar to: "Hey, this is really going to take off. There are a bunch of kids out there who will identify with your rage at the way things are. Overall they haven't been tapped into yet. The marketplace is going to be yours. You'll benefit from it, companies now will benefit from it, and companies down the line will benefit from it."And you know what? You just waited through an advertisement to be able to watch their video didn't you?At some point, that suit who worked for a corporate record label slid a contract across a table and said "Sign here guys. We're going to make you rich." At that moment they picked up a pen and nobody said "FU, I won't do what you tell me!"
