The artistic visio-lag element works really well. The entire movie and song blanketed me in goosebumps. At the same time, Radiohead left a lot of story element on the table - when it comes to how great the song is. (Before you think I'm fucked up, think of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo or ANY good movie. It involves stuff like this--and is useful for people to relate to.) With the blur, as fucked up as this storyline sounds, I expected blur to equal woman drunk or influenced by roofies, then when it picks up - when the lag picks up... it builds up the fight-or-flight hormones with a scene where she's about to get raped... to where the fight-or-flight, sympathetic system is fully-engaged and she sees life or death in every moment... she fights her way out, eventually discovering a slim out in a way where she claims back control. A control with a shift in power (i.e. she trapped the assailants in the city). With a new purpose for a safer city for people everywhere, she either jails 'em, or releases other convicts on him (in the case that she's she in trouble with the police), or she kills 'em, or she scares them and sets them free, somehow brainwashing the assailants into a life of peace and presence (unlikely, so this wouldn't be a good choice - either as a real-life lesson or as a story (because it's probably boring)... if someone tried to rape me or someone I love, I would very likely end his... or her... existence... think Pulp Fiction with Marsellus Wallus after HIS rape scene. I.e. he points a shotgun at his balls and pulls the trigger.). Either do this, or some similar, transformational story of pain-to-freedom, slavery-to-freedom. A story that forces the character to endure pain and conflict yet erupting into tremendous growth, despite unspeakable odds. Because, anyway, that's what this song lends itself to. Especially with "jaws of hell", "sit down, stand up", ... followed by 'the raindrops' which means 'cleaning up' (in most literature, rain in this sense probably does NOT mean sadness). There's good news for us, though! The video I talk about has already been done in a way! See the video 'Psychobunny' for the perfect video to this song.

Dear Vevo, Let me start by sayin get your corporate asses off youtube! Ever since these big companies started paying off youtube so they could post their friggin videos we can't post ours. We are flagged for infringement every time we include a song we like in our videos. This is YOUtube the place where w can post OUR videos If we wanted to listen to music from you we'd go to your damn website. To people who want greedy corporates gone thumbs up and copy and paste this on Vevo

Quick question: I don't intend to gay bash or anything, I'm just curious as to weather Thom is gay or not. In any case, he's lead singer of one of the greatest bands of our time.
