The third Bastards EP is now up on Spotify. These EPs are just the songs that didn't fit on the proper records, but they are still a part of the whole Family Tree project. And the songs aren't throwaways. I'm actually quite happy with them. They just didn't fit the album in terms of pace, or tone.

Sounds quite similar to Summer Skeletons. Radical Face made me open my eyes to real music since 2011. Ben Cooper, you are the king of indie folk.

right after the second verse where you sing "so we could drag it all the way back home", instead of continuing to the bridge you should have made the verse longer and added a violin or a lead or something. it would sound sooo good and i get so mad every time that part comes because it would sound so good if that verse would continue and then jump to the chorus.

We crept from the roomThe moonlight spilled down the hallAnd I tiptoed with youThen we climbed out the windowAnd there in the yardOur nightclothes blowing in the breezeAnd you looked up at the skyAnd said the moon would be oursAll this time I hear those words like bombs in the distanceAnd oh my, my, I can still smell the rain in the airBut time's gone byAnd I'm not the kid I was on that eveningAnd somewhere insideI hope you still see me just the way I was before I walked awayMud on your dressBlood stains on the knees of my pantsAnd we went in search of the moon'cause you said that you knew where it slept in the daySo we gathered up our tools:A sling-shot in case it ran for the skyAnd a blanket from your room, the one with no holesSo we could drag it all the way back homeAnd you said when we got it backWe would cut it up in twoAnd we'd wear the halves on necklacesAnd then I could control tides with youI still hear the way that you laughedWhen you found I believed youAnd I could still feel you pull on my armWhen I was too afraid to goAll this time I hear those words like bombs in the distanceMy, oh my, I can still smell the dirt on our hands'cause in my headYou're still alive, you're still aliveAnd I know that it's a lieBut it's one I like, it's one I like

Ben, I really want to thank you for your work. Your music is brilliant, touching and very personal. You and your band made, and keep making my favourite songs. It's because your songs really do mean something. I feel that they are more like stories about you, me and everybody who listens to them. So thank you again and keep in this astonishing work.
