this is a different mix from the U.K. original version - the guitar solo and mix are quite different, but interesting! Many thanks. :)

Yeah, I had the original colored vinyl release and still think it was one of the great late 70's Stiff records! She ALWAYS did great covers, particularly Elvis Costello's.

@ILoveJenni47 ... I personally liked just about everything on Fool Around ( one of my all-time favourite albums ! ), and then in my opinion her subsequent albums dropped off in quality. Protect The Innocent was still very good, but everything after that didn't really interest me that much ...Sounded too main-stream and bland compared to the exciting unusual quality of her early work. ... @wmw2525 In my opinion, the album was a mixture of fantastic songs mixed with a few really mediocre/bad songs. Very mixed. The fantastic songs were really amazing though. I could probably say the same for all of Rachel's albums, or at least the first three. The last one was mostly mediocre. "Fool Around", "Protect the Innocent" and "Then He Kissed Me" all had a lot of great moments.

Great song, classic album ... great mixture of interesting pop / rock songs with a distinctive new wave feel ... I think the songwriter / producer Liam Sternberg had a very big and positive influence on the style of the alum ... although later on, Rachel was to say that she personally couldn't relate to it or understand many of the songs he wrote or picked for her ... It sure didn't stop her from recording them brilliantly. ... Wayne
