There is a portuguese version of this song known in Brazil as "Vou buscar meu amor", recorded at CBS Super Quentes LP, vol 5.

Incredibly catchy tune. Oddly reminds me a bit of 'Amarillo' by Tony Christie.

Geweldige zanger en muzikant maar zeer ondergewaardeerde singer/songwriter, luister naar meer van R. Dean Taylor.

I had the same experience with THE SONG 'Brightside" by 'Lighthouse', Although I am from Canada, that song slipped passed me as being theirs. I had heard it over and over as a child daily in it's quick run, yet it wasn't included later on lighthouse's best of . when I found them as teenager. The style was the same and I didn't put the two together.

I LOOKED FOR THIS SONG FOR YEARS , not quite able to sing it or remember all the words and allways coming in on the end of it, Because I greatly loved and sang his Indiana wants me , and seeing a best of r.dean taylor, I would've had it, The voice should have clicked tho, thanx so much. Pure AM staple, and underrated.

It was frequently played on KCLU AM-FM Rolla Circa 1965 and it was on Rolla's top 30 list by The May Printing Company. I have some of those buried in boxes. Today the former KCLU Fm- KDAA is on 103.1 down from 97.5 The Am is gone.

Visited Taos a few years back. Beautiful country. Nice upload with pictures! Hadn't realized that R. Dean Taylor was Canadian. No wonder I heard it so much in 1972 in Canada, but it didn't make it big in the US. Thanks!

We heard this song a lot on CJOE and CHLO and CKSL in London Ontario, because of the Canadian content rules, and R. Dean is Canadian! Just like Fergus, Riverson, Pagliaro, and Steel River!!!

I had the same experience with many of the songs I posted on my channel, but it was back before the internet, and tracking down the titles/artists was very difficult. What's more, I had originally taped these songs off the radio, yet 30-40 years later no one for whom I played them could identify them.

I'd love to serve time in Taos N.M. I'd be in heaven. I wonder if the Kit Carsen Drive-in movie theatre was still there then. It used to be on the land that Wal-mart took over.

It was on the KCLU AM-FM top 30 in Rolla Missouri back then. It was all so much fun!
