This is an fan made tribute video to Kevin DuBrow and Quiet Riot. "(We Were) Born To Rock" is last song from the band's 4th record, "Condition Critical (1984)".

Kevin DuBrow thoughts on this song (according to the Quiet Riot official Biography by Steve Gett): "Oh, I like that. It's just a good solid ending for an album and speaks for itself. The lyrics are also very (The) Who / Pete Townshend oriented, if you listen to them. They're taken from Bargain and Won't Get Fooled Again".

I chose this song because I never seen'em playing it (even in bootlegs records) and there isn't a video for it yet. As Special Guests on my video you got Mr. David Coverdale (Deep Purple, Whitesnake), Chuck Wright (Griuffia, House Of Lords) and Bob Stefan (both at that time in "DuBrow Band"), a lot of fans and QR on Simpsons!

Most of the photos and images here are from the 1983-1984 period, but not all of them. Please keep in mind that Quiet Riot is not only Metal Health and Condition Critical. I own all their albums and I can say that they are at least great. The video I made only focus the group in their peak of popularity.

To create this video I've used stuff from other QR's videos such as: Quiet Riot Live In Germany, Quiet Riot Live US Festival '83, Quiet Riot Behind The Music, Cumm On Feel The Noise, Metal Health, Party All Night, Mamma Weer All Crazy Now, Twilight Hotel, The Wild and Young and Stay With Me Tonight. I've also used scans from my own personal collection of vinyl records, cd's, Vhs tapes, Dvd's, books and old magazines.

This one goes out to every fan, associate, ex-member and friends of Quiet Riot wordlwide!

Rest in Peace kevin, my friend...

... and you, who's watching, Keep Bangin' Your Head!

Hope you all like my video!

I prefer the original version "We'll Take You To Hell" from the DuBrow band era club days. P.S. Notice the lifted rhythm guitar riff from Michael Schenker's "Armed & Ready"?

Its obvious that Carlos was heavily influenced by randy on this album, especially this song, reminds me of steal away the night. It doesn't surprise me since this was Randy's band at one point

Great guitar solo. Very underrated guitarist. If he had played with another band, he would have gotten a lot more praise. Unfortunately, Quiet Riot wasn't very respected.. Maybe deservedly so... But this is a real good song, none the less.

@mogy6708 I'm 49, and I would love to give my stepson the gift of Metal. Unfortunately, he likes Nickelback and music from today's generation. He does like Disturbed though. Man, if my parents would have given ME the gift of Metal, that would have been Fucking Awesome!!!
