Funny how people rip on this whole album. It's SUPPOSED to sound washed-out and uninspired, like the era vulgaris of modern society, and yet there are gems like this song, misfit love, era vulgaris (track 15), river in the road. This is coming from a diehard Kyuss/qotsa fan.

@peacelovemusic2461 Wow, that comment completely made my day. Yes, I agree with you in how they are pretty solid (especially considering how he smokes like a chimney, lol) and how it fits the song, but without everything else in the background like in the normal version, it just sounds quite silly. That being said, Josh Homme is still probably one of the best vocalists ever.
