I was lucky enough to see queen and Paul Rodgers at Hyde park a week after the london bombings. I don't remember much as I was extremely drunk but I woke up feeling like if seen something special. Amazing musicians.

This is not Queen. The band with Freddie were Queen, This ageing rocker with the musicians who used to be in Queen do not make a band called Queen. Brian May should be ashamed of himself.

Let's get something straight here - Paul Rodgers didn't "replace" Freddie. No one ever could. But as the next version of Queen came about, he was an excellent choice as vocalist. He was properly humbled in the position and did a great job.

You know a song like Bad Company is the kind of thing that might cause an ageing rock singer to rise to the occasion. I'm glad Paul didn't go the way of singers like Gregg Allman who would go through the motions, lose their intensity, their fitness. Paul has been able to be Paul Rodgers simply because he made some better life choices than some of his contemporaries. This only adds to the many reasons why Paul Rodgers remains at the top of my list of favorite rock singers. Who can rival the guy? Maybe Mick Jagger can rival Paul as a professional but Mick is hardly a fine singer. Mick's just a very professional front man.

Paul Roders is like a hybrid between Danny Bonaduce and the great, Chuck Norris.
