This is the Brewer Street version of Keep Yourself Alive, officialy unreleased and only aviavable on the "Box Of Flix" as a bonus.

On the 9th August of 1973 the band mimed their way through both Keep Yourself Alive and Liar, for the first time on camera. This performance, however, was a disaster for all concerned (due to the strange effects that were used), and it was discarded to film a new darker lit version (the official one)

This video was taked off by WARNER MUSIC GROUP, but I´m returning it to YouTube! =)

WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS THE BBC VERSION OF KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE BY QUEEN, WARNER MUSIC GROUP OWNS THE ALBUM/SINGLE VERSION, AND THIS VIDEO HAS NO INTENTION TO VIOLATE AND COMMIT COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT, SO DON´T BOTHER!!!

Shame about the image quality. John Deacon looks so glam rock in this.

Ta wersja KEEP YOURSELF ALIVE jest równie dobra jak wersja studyjna z płyty QUEEN 1,a nawet lepsza!

The revelation comes when one listens to any Queen track without vocals! There was, is and won't be any other band perfecting a song as crazy as Queen did and then voice over 50% of the ingenious sound constructions, and achieve in the end even more ingenious results. Some tracks are mindblowingly different experiences without the vocals.

13 years to the day, Queen would play their final concert at Knebworth Park. :)

I can see why they didn't release this, it looks just like every other primitive music video being made at that time or somebody messing around with Photoshop effects!
