LoloYodel 2 camera-angle remix (with special thanks to the two angles of Lazy Cow !).

The 1st of the legendary two night stand at Hampton under the disguise as "The Warlocks". This 1st set is sound, straight forward, almost excellent but arguably not exceptional. The Foolish Heart, which opens, is thorough and heart felt but the next 3-4 songs seem to have difficulty getting off the ground (or into rythym) with notably a Candyman which, despite the "get me my 'ol guitar" (as Jerry had pulled out his old "Wolf" from the closet since the days of 1977-1979), lacks the full magic due to fumbled lyrics, technical problems ... Nonetheless, Bird Song is open and aerial and Promised Land brings a promising rockin' finish to this 1st set. Yes, Big River has some stomp, Stagger Lee shines and Queen Jane is dynamically and entertainingly sustained by good 'ol Bobby Weir.

Weir does a good job here; this is a very hard song to understand and deliver. It requires a mix of love and cruelty.

Very fine take of this tune. Bob is solid, Jerry is dead on and Brent is out and out delightful. Thanks for posting.

I was there!. I had stayed on the East Coast after Jerry Tour and had just weathered Hurricane Hugo in downtown Charleston, SC. It was a miracle I was there and not back home already in CA. Tickets were easy. And the Help>Slip, Attics, & DarkStar legendary. A spiritual high point in my life.
