Yeah, Roger wasn't fond of the song, and it was included on the album only because he insisted to let it be in the record. It is certainly different than the other 11 songs on Innuendo, probably because it was supposed to be in a new Freddie Mercury solo album thought it seems that thought didn't last long and was made as a Queen track instead.

I love this song. I'm glad he changed "die" to cry" in the final version. A lot of people don't understand that the song is about Freddie's favorite cat. I love that Freddie was able to get the band to record this when it is so seemingly off the wall for Queen. Shame the pic is of Romeo and not of Delilah! I have a "Delilah" too, her name is Chessie.

Some of the vocal takes heard here say indeed ''You make me laugh when I'm just about to die'' while others say ''About to cry'' instead. Maybe they used ''cry'' instead of ''die'' to avoid more speculations.
