They (radio) used to play this all the time. Though it was rock radio then, with no classic prefix and Queen were in their prime. Brian needed to stretch out a little more in the band IMO.

Interesting note that the chorus starts at exactly 0:39…

THE greatest Queen song of all time. THIS should receive radio airplay, should've been released as a single, is one of the songs that Queen should be revered for. All of their other songs deserve to be, don't get me wrong, but THIS belongs at the top of the list.

I love this album because its basically the whole band taking turns to write their own unique songs.

Brian May was such an asset to Queen and artistry in general. Leaving home ain't easy, all dead, all dead, long away, etc...

A beautiful, evocative song which reflect's May's expertise in astrophysics. I just read he earned a PHD in the subject in 2007. Must be a first for a rock star, although I think the dude from Bad Religion has a doctorate in microbiology. Mot many Renaissance men (and women) in an era of specialization. Cool, innit?

Who knew the plot for Interstellar was written by Brian May in 1975?

For anyone who has listened to more than just the radio friendly and sports associated songs written by Queen, it is hard to argue that they belong in at least the top 5 Greatest Bands of All Time. This song was written and sung by Brian May the guitarist! Freddie was a backup vocalist. Prophet Song is my favorite song I've ever heard because it shatters the spectrum in it's timeline. But this song is absolutely amazing. I enjoy listening to Rock, Metal, Pop, R+B, Folk, Classical and Jazz because each one is unique and can evoke a different emotion. Queen could pull off each and every one of those genres flawlessly and make you "feel" it. Queen = GOAT

This album was the "Sgt Pepper" of the 70's.

Everything about this song is just about perfect, but the thing that makes it for me is that upright bass carrying on in the background. Goddammit I freaking love John Deacon.
