Britney has talent, but lost confidence in herself and it's been a struggle for her to get back in the groove. As for Christina, yeah, the sex angle as a gimmick is regrettable, but the quality of her voice is undeniable.

Sounds to me like he only thought Spears lacked talent and Aguilera depended on sexuality more than musical talent to get over. That's how I interpreted the comment anyway. And yes, Rindy was certainly more respectable than either of those two.

@cryptsub - If you are into punk, I can understand why you wouldn't dig this. It's a whole different animal. But to be fair, Quarterflash knew their craft and "Harden My Heart" is still a standard 30 years later. Not bad for a soft rock band from Portland.

@cryptsub - Actually, The Boomers were born between the end of the war and early 60's. So, wouldn't the majority of them be in their 30's by the time this hit the charts?

I agree that there are far superior performers than most of today's crop, but credit where credit is due, Christina Aguilera is a phenomenally talented singer.
