We see the billboard girl

The one devoted to ritual

Standing in the rain

Holding all of her pain inside

I know you're hurting now

But I can't point my finger at the

Words I should or shouldn't say

Anything to take the pain away

Walk alone on the streets tonight and fear nothing

Choose to love what we are in this life and shine brighter

Don't let the crosses and dollar signs

The symbols of man unkind

Make you feel that you're not real

All this time walk out

Out of the shadows

We see the lines in chalk

The warning sign for where we walk

In the shadows of the cities maze

To try and fight for better days

Walk alone on the streets tonight and fear nothing

Choose to love what we are in this life and shine brighter

Don't let the crosses and dollar signs

The symbols of man unkind

Make you feel that you're not real

All this time walk out

Out of the shadows

Yeah we're ungrateful

Yeah we're ungrateful for

Holy books, religious men

Values of beauty, original sin

And all this time we unwind it

I won't give up, I'm not afraid

I'm not afraid

To walk alone on the streets tonight and fear nothing

Choose to love what we are in this life and shine brighter

Don't let the crosses and dollar signs

The symbols of man unkind

Make you feel that you're not real

All this time walk out

Out of the shadows

If we take

Our strength

To market

To trade

For their ugly beauty

Watch us

Grow up to war

It's ridiculous how much arguing is going on about 'labels' on a song that attacks sexism, homophobia, and rape culture. It embraces feminism, originality, and unity. You fuckers are talking about what brand of punk it is. The lyrics of this couldn't be any more punk.

Well you clearly did not get what I was trying to say. I was replying to some of the comments I had seen labelling the music as 'shit' 'emo' etc etc. My comment was basically stating that we need not to label music to enjoy it. I did not make the comment for likes. I do understand how music works. Enjoy the song and have a good life :)

the most generic and ignorant comment that is made on these videos, labels exist for a reason, we use them to discover other bands, identify them, and broadcast that certain personality. oh who am i kidding, you wont listen cause you just made this to get thumbs up. Cause these dumbasss kids that dont understand how music works that cant take the least bit negative criticism blindly thumb up shit like this cause its positive like the blind drones they are.

Actually... not trying to split hairs here but the bands you listed could easily be catagorized as pop-punk, especially MxPx

bullshit, there hasn't been a punk band on one of these comps since this one. What's so punk aboutthe devil wears prada, cartel, or any of those bands. Just because they have even the smallest influence of punk in their music, most don't even have that. Punk is hanging by a thread now. The name of the genre has become a brand name for upper middle class brats who are mad at mommy and daddy because they can't do whatever they want. There is no passion, no love, no disdain for authority.

@tkkva - Should it matter if it's "punk" or not, if the lyrics are thoughtful and they put their energy into it?
