"I come from the trash. I was born and raised in a poor neighborhood in North London, a similar place as you imagine Russia today. It was not just an extremely controlled society but the feeling of being watched was also huge. The . People born in this system of shit, 'shitstem' as they called Jamaican, was convinced that there were people who had the right to send you to the royal family told him. 'Can you ask for loyalty, but not demand I'm not for serve anyone. '"Life has not been easy for John Lydon. Born in 1956 into a family of Irish immigrants, he grew from a boy who almost died from meningitis to become the greatest scourge to the 'establishment' Britain from the time before Queen Victoria. He did, and become Johnny Rotten, the Sex Pistols, the group of ephemeral but hectic life that forever changed music after consumed at full speed, and sent the precepts of punk. "God save the Queen and her fascist regime, that make you asshole" was the cry with which empezaba'God save the queen ', the anthem of the generation that ended with this: "There is no future." The result of that was a monumental mess of censorship, denunciations, overdose, wrinkled noses with disgust, dyed hair and garish clothes.Well, that story is known. And pictures Rotten bellowing like a lunatic, eyes bulging already belong to the photo album of the twentieth century. But the Rotten / Lydon himself he wanted to tell. 'Anger is energy' (published in Spain by now editorialMalpaso) is the title of the singer's memoirs about to become a sixties. A jumbled collection of memories, anecdotes and value judgments which aims to show the reasons that pushed his personal revolution. The title corresponds to a verse composed parapublic Image Ltd (PIL), the group with which he dynamited the punk after the end of the Sex Pistols. "It was a statement of intent for people no longer see the anger as something negative and start to use it creatively," he says in the book about the phrase, part of the song 'Rise' (1986).'Anger is energy' between the mocking raspberry and exaltation of self Rotten practicing throughout the chapters. "We must say Quehe transformed the music twice in my life: one with Sex Pistols and one with PiL" he says in a moment of the prologue, then ensure "Nobody can write something negative about me unless I have thought before ;. half of the time, when people get me a sack, I feel relieved that I think have not been with me all they could (...) I am a real tyrant myself This book responds to self-analysis I practiced a lifetime and that is ongoing. "
