If you actually think your music is more "real" than any other genre of music, whether it be 60s rock or Justin Bieber, then you have a disappointingly dim view of what music actually is. Everyone likes to think they're in a special little club b/c they like certain music. But hey I guess if you want to develop a superiority complex over the illusion that your music is better, then go for it, b/c that's what making music is all about right? Aggression, hate, divisiveness, egos?

Living a rich life is not rock'n'roll. Because when you do you lose touch with reality. And reality is what rock'n'roll is about.
