Scurrilous has really grown n me too, but Fortress is still my favorite. It's probably my favorite record all together. It was my first "progress metal" record and it was sort of a gate way for me into the genre so it has a special place in my heart (as cheesy as it sounds). All in all, Scurrilous is an excellent record and it really was a grower. Since it was such a grower, I am not surprised to see that for some people it may be an easier listen through than the other records.

Idk.... Scurrilous has really grown on me for the long run though, I can always sit down and listen to this album from track 1 to track 10 easier than the rest of the albums.

Dragonforce is horrible, not to mention Herman and that other guy are rude as fuck. I remember trying to get an autograph at Mayhem and those English fucks just rode me off like I was just some peasant. Granted they have a few good songs, but not worthy of a "rock god"

What the hell are you so mad? Yeah I said Dragonforce is horrible and I truly believe that cause it's my own personal opinion based on my own personal taste. I like other power metal bands, just not them. In addition, I never said PTH doesn't like them or takes influence from them cause i very well know they do and I understand that. But that fact isn't going to make me like Dragonforce and you have to understand that. I have respect for Dragonforce but I'm still going to say they are horrible.

And if you weren't an ignoramus disparaging other bands, you'd realize that Dragonforce is also an influence to Protest the Hero, and even then, they aren't a horrible band. Luke picked up his S series Ibanez after trying Sam and Herman Li's S's when they toured together; also, Dragonforce's keyboardist has a keyboard solo on Fortress. Have some respect.

I agree with you on the bit of power metal they throw in there. I think it became more prominent as Rody's voice got better. I don't know if he got a vocal coach or what but he can definitely hit some notes now that I don't think he would have been able to hit while they wrote Kezia.
