Song 10 off kezia.

Lyrics:

Don't ever ask us to define our morals

Sometimes when fundamentals meet teenage heartbreak

Some of us are all of us; half-selves that love whole hopes

And hara-kiri heartbreak

There's almost nothing worse than never being real

Strained voices crying wolf when nobody can hear

If I had a gun I'd pump your ethics full of lead

If I believed in meat I'd eat a plateful of our dead

There's merit in construction when it's done with your own hands

There's beauty in destruction, resurrection, another chance

There's a you and I in union but just an I in my beliefs

There's a crashing plane with a banner that reads everyone's naïve

The only proof that I have that we shot and killed this horse

Is the sounds of whips on flesh and a bleeding heart remorse

When I'm In this state of reflection and you hand me whips

And two by fours I could never bring them down and beat the same horse as before

I'd rather kill a stupid flower and spread its seeds around

Until a garden with our bullet-laden morals will be found

1:02 That breakdown is like pizza, you just can't not like it. Well you can, but come on man.

He specifically said he likes to be grammatically correct, yet failed at being grammatically correct in the same sentence. Someone had to point out the fail, this is the internet for fuck's sake.

This album is way more politically ambitious than people make it out to be. Maybe that's why they got a bit more cynical between Fortress and Kezia. They only saw praise from idiot scene kids and metal heads were looking for riffage to satisfy their brain-dead minds. I'm sure there's more to it than that of why they changed so much between those albums. It just alarms me that such a politically driven band gives up the message they started with. Still my favorite band though.

The acoustic part of this at the end is insanely beautiful, i like how this kind of music was written by chill, weed-smoking young adults XD

God these lyrics are so amazing. "There's a U and I in union, but just an I in my beliefs". These are lyrics to actually live by. This is why I love Protest the Hero so much. and because they're insanely talented.
