I've always loved Martin Barre's version of Tull's "Protect and Survive" originally from the "A" album and reworked in 1993 by just Martin himself at his own Presshouse Studios.
I have never played this before so I took a couple nights to tab it out and learned as I went along.

Outstanding- Not only (close to) note perfect, but you have the feel down just like on the record. The first time I heard this was on the '25th Annniversary Box Set' CD and I was totally blown away. Today was the second time that happened!11 years ago

Wow John. You nailed it. Not an easy song to play. I always loved this acoustic piece since I first heard it on Tull's 25th Anniversary release from 1993. Ever consider uploading some other acoustic pieces from Tull (along with vocals)? I wish someone would do the whole (never released) Wond'ring Aloud Again.11 years ago
