Uploaded because I was going to share this song with a few friends but I couldn't find a studio version let alone with lyrics... and I really doubt the band would mind.

Potemkin City Limits by Propagandhi on the album Supporting Caste.

Is it just me or do some parts of this song sound suspiciously similar to Panama by Van Halen?

To add to others, this is the only song that having looked at the lyrics, have made me tear up. Such an incredible song and even better band. Long live Propagandhi!

Search for "Francis the Pig by Danek Mozdzenski" to see the statue. The legend of Francis began in July 1990 when he escaped from a local abattoir. For nearly five months the fugitive roamed the parklands of Red Deer, eluding predators and several attempts to catch him. This freedom-loving pig was finally captured in November of 1990. Unfortunately, shortly afterward, Francis succumbed to injuries he received in the attempt.Probably my favorite Propagandhi song

I've been listening to this album steadily for 4 years and still get hot behind the eyes every time starting at 'his mother's loving eyes upon him...' Amazing song.

2:55 Chris' delivery on the line "his mother's loving eyes upon him" is wonderful. Gives the song real power.

@W7z First up, thanks for uploading this amazing song in the first place :) But I do think that the lyric "to the realm of god" just doesn't fit with the typical line that Chris would pen. Speculative? maybe, but with Propagandhi's back catalogue as evidence, I think there is a higher probability of the correct line being "turned around and gone." Either way, it's a great song, by a great band and at least it opens up discussion and get's people talking :)
