I really believe that what they are saying with the 'vegan thing' is that we now have no need to eat meat. That we understand now that animals have many of the same feelings as us ie pain. When we have two animals doing something natural we can't stop it. There's nothing natural about the way mainstream humans eat meat. There's nothing natural about a man using a gun to hunt their food either. There are many people who live off land only and eat what they kill, but we all know the difference.

@alkalinenofx I know exactly what you mean, a lot of vegan posts online that I've read have had a militant pushy, dare I say elitist way of putting across their points. I'm for the most part vegan myself (not strictly as I still have things with gelatine and cream in them from time to time, but something is better than nothing) and it's a shame that this, and some of PETA's actions unfortunately seem to hurt the cause and drive people away rather than recognizingg that most of us at one stage...

I agree with a good portion of propagandhi's views but I can't into the vegan thing. Mainly because i'm 138 pounds and all bone but also because I haven't met a vegan who doesn't have a huge ego. I do think we should treat animals better and change the food industry which is fucked up right now. Humans evolved to eat meat, animals eating animals is nature if your saying humans shouldn't eat meat your saying we're not part of nature. I'm not saying we should all start eating meat.

@TheAstrocat11 Better to have these guys actually out there, trying to spread awareness of some very real problems, than just an entire scene of bands following the routine, endless 'punk rock' cycle of singing generically about girls and how cops are dicks etc. Yes they are preachy as hell and the US is a great nation but to be fair, it totally deserves the criticism - a nation which makes up 3% of the world's population but consumes 25% of its resources is in need of some damn criticism!
