THE rallying tune! Hybrid remix with 'Duel' & 'Jewel' by the British based (at the time) German group 'Propaganda', 'Jewelled', track 5 from their remix album 'Wishful Thinking' (Reproductions by Bob Kraushaar & Paul Morley with original material produced by Steve Lipson & Trevor Horn) originally released in 1985. A fantastic tune, used by the BBC for their Top Gear Rally Report programme several years ago when covering the Lombard RAC/Network Q RAC Rally of GB. An excellent choice by whoever made it (you know who you are!), & a perfect pairing with rallying, great listening when on 'Maximum Attack!!!'.....

Thanks for sharing this. All the memories of the rally's are brought back. If you lived in this era you would understand.

Also used a lot by ATCC (touring cars) and support series in the late 80s and early 90s.

so there are bits of Duel and Jewel in this - is that a duel source or a jewel source? ;)

This sure brings back memories when I was watching the Australian Touring Car Championship in the 80's to 1990 when ATN 7 (Prime7/7TWO/7Mate) used the edited version (start minus the starting flourish to 1:21 then repeated to the actual start of broadcast) and while ealy part of repeated song they gave notice of what was being covered (Motor racing news, special interest and recaps of ATCC up to the round being broadcast) then it finishes with an interesting fade out, sadly I can't remember what it was. Anyway, well done Mate. This is really the goods.

I wonder where else this theme is used, other than RAC and Rally Report? In Australia, it's more/less known as Channel 7's Motorsport theme in the late 80's; used for races such as the Bathurst 1000.

Many happy days standing in Sutton Park watching the Audi Quattros blitzing the competition. I only found out the name of the tune after calling the BBC, Pebble Mill, to ask them. Ironically a few years later I was demolishing Pebble Mill lol :-)

Reminds me how great Rally GB used to be, enhanced by close BBC coverage - aahh William Woolard. Great version of the song... Until the vocals
