Don Paulo is still my favourite master of disguise villain but descole really gave the prequel trilogy it's extra badassery and the plot twist is so sad during Azran legacy

IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED AZRAN LEGACY YET, THEN DO NOT READ ON. I feel like this theme represents the constant battle between Desmond (or his real name Hershel which he gave to Layton) and his aggressive alter ego. The piece starts off as a feeling of fear and dread. It's Descole, and that's enough to make anyone scared. But then it shifts into a sort of sad melody, representing the anger and sorrow that Descole is feeling. I also think it represents him trying to keep his original personality. Desmond isn't as cruel and deceitful as his other personality, he is kind and actually quite helpful. But because he has worn that mask for so long, and it seems to be the only way to get what he wants, the inevitable happens. In the end, Descole became Descole.
