Procol Harum - Victims of the Fury - Live in Vienna 2004 video free download
One of the few performances of this Procol Harum's rarity. Vienna, Austria, July 3, 2004.
Then song was presented in 2004 as a new one, sounding as if the band was still working on it (to me, and to many, both the organ and the guitar seems far from a definitive version, for example), then disappeared after a few months.
We con only hope to find it, reworked, in a future album.
As far as I know the song was played publicly only five times: on all 3 dates of the 2004 mini-tour, on 6 March 2005 and at the "Procol Rarum" concert on 21 July 2007.
I find it very interesting to hear, even in this "prototype" form, what is really peculiar about it is that this set of Keith Reid words were been already set to music by Robin Trower, Procol's "historic" guitarist, for one of his solo albums over two decades before 2004. The music is anyway very different and it's probable that Brooker overlooked the fact when he started to work on his version.

Oh it's just gorgeous. I heard it for the first time in 2005 in London. I wish they would record it properly. Rob Trower's setting of the same words is as different as could be imagined and in my view way less effective.11 years ago

It's an audience recording in a venue packed up with people that were not necessarily there for PH. We get to hear the various comments on the song, the comments about the Hans Theessink or Manfred Mann and the idle chatter.13 years ago
