They, surprisingly, played this wonderful song in Durham, NC and Atlanta, GA during their recent 2014 USA tour.

One of the very best lyrics from the brilliant, slightly deranged Keith Reid, set to a fantastically, ironically cheerful tune. Cannot be topped!

Procol Harum ... She Wandered Thru the Garden Fence ..." Another forgotten song of the late 60s.This band never got recognized as muchas they deserved. Off of their debut."Not sure I agree that they didn't get the recognition they deserved. Everyone I knew back then was wild for them andyou didn't have their latest album (and all their albums!)you were .. rather sadly lacking in taste.

I'd call 1967 the "mid-Sixties" actually, things were changing so quickly. 1968 was already a new world (so much happened) and 1969 was the future. This Procol Harum album came only three years after "She Loves You." It was a great three years, and Procol Harum, and Jimi Hendrix, among many others, were breaking new ice big time.
