Vladivostok (1977)

Pulled into Vladivostok

Must have been a hundred degrees below

And I can't remember ever being that cold

Then they shackled us like criminals

And put us on a train

And we waited in the darkness and the snow

We awakened in the morning

As the train began to roll

And the freezing Russian winter

Had already claimed a soul

From mountains ever northward

Seemed like six or seven days

Till we finally saw the place we were to go

Hey Hey Vladivostok

What's it gonna be?

I'm so lonely, you're the only place that's left for me

Hey Hey Vladivostok

You got me on my knees

It's been so long since I went wrong

Someone help me, won't you please

(guitar solo)

I wish that I could see you

Hold you near just one more time

And hear you say the things you used to do

Well, lo and behold, I see before my eyes

A vision, apparition of you

You know I'd go a thousand miles

And I'd walk most all the way

Just to see you smile the way you do

The way you do

Notes: It's not the greatest song Prism ever made but allot of people seem to like it. There is no Vladiviostok 45 to my knowledge. Logos and images are property of their owners. I may have posted once before, not going to bother to check, just want to say that this video is awesome, No question a lot of work was put into the image selection and timing! The image of the newspaper clipping brought tears to my eyes...I remember where I was when I heard Ron was gone...was announced on CKCK Regina at the same time as the news of Vince Neil 's (Motley Crue) car crash...I was a Motley Crue fan at the time, big time, but the news about Ron hit me harder. I grew up to Prism...

This band was very underrated. This song was one that most hard-core Prism fans would know but few others would know about. I loved this album. Several great songs on it. I need to get the CD version.

Have never heard this song before... Wish I had, tho. Pulled it up as a random selection for a youtube search for Prizm... Looking for Take me to the Kaptain. Guess I'll pause here for a few minutes.

No,Heart played the following year at the Alberta World Rock Festival at Commonwealth Stadium in August 1981. I was there too. The bands in 1981 included Blue Oyster Cult,Loverboy,Ted Nugent and Heart. I used to have audio cassettes that I recorded with a hand held ghetto blaster at each of those concerts. i may still have a few of them around somewhere. The recordings were very distorted because of the extreme volume.

Это хорошая песня! Я люблю Владивосток. They mention 6 days of travel by train in this song. It takes 6 days ish to travel across Russia via the Siberian railway. За Россию!!!

@BBINGHAM032352 I remember that show. It was fantastic!. I think 'Heart' also played that evening. I was 20 years old then. What a great summer.
