Well, I wouldn't consider them big headliners. But they were on the 2nd stage of Ozzfest a year or two. I remember seeing Primer 55 open for a lot of the more well known bands of the Nu Metal era...such as Static-X, Taproot, Hed PE, Coal Chamber, etc. Unfortunately Limp Bizkit and Korn ruined that genre of music for everyone. That's cool that the singer is your dad lol.

Primer 55 was awesome!! Your dad is J-sin I guess? Wasnt the same after he left. I was 14 and my friends and I went to see them at Ozzfest in 2000 I think. We drove all the way to Austin TX just to see them for some Jagermeister tour too. Not sure how popular they were nationally but I know myself and all my friends loved them, and every now and then I get the urge to go back and listen to some of these songs. Cheers

They were one of my favorites in the early 2000's. I still listen to the first 3 cds (As Seen On TV, Introduction To Mayhem and (The) New Release) all the time. We saw them live all up and down the east coast, my best friend at the time got the Star 55 tattooed on his neck. They were huge in our eyes and definitely treated us like family. The new P55 is far from family.

This band didn't go unnoticed. They were very popular back in the Nu Metal era of the late 90's/early 2000's. One of my favorite concerts in high school was seeing them with Reveille and Taproot. Looking back now that I'm older I must admit most of these bands I used to love didn't have a lot of talent and sold out after their debut album, but this does bring back a lot of memories. Only band from that genre that is still amazing as ever is the Deftones....and thank god for that.
