Breathtaking lysergia from the Pretty Things' cult 1968 album S.F. Sorrow - one of the first concept albums/rock operas in history. In this song, the album's protagonist Sebastian F. Sorrow comes upon ˝a long winding staircase which brings him to two opaque mirrors that show him the horrible truths and revelations from his life˝ (or so Wiki says).
