I heard this song on Z-rock, didnt know who the band was, but I spent 12hours in a Sam Goody store looking for a song called future world. I discovered Helloween!!!!!!!! Thankyou! Sam Goody and Helloween. And thanks to Z-Rock for making me fight for my right to rock!!!!!!

I have the vinyl from 1987. Printed on the vinyl sleeve they dedicated the LP to Phil Lynott.

A sound that perfectly nails the era's metal vibe! Especially the harmonics and vocals. Only thing I'd change... the band name. Lol! Was never a fan of the whole pretty maids thing. Well off for some Krokus! uh, wait a minute... Lol!

Great compare and contrast song with Helloween's "Future World". Each band had a very different concept of what a future world would be like. I think both "Future World"s even came out around the same time.

The best anti war and destruction song ever written and Pretty Maids are the most top level heavy band a million miles ahead of overrated Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden have no abilities except to be bloated and pretentious. How they made it and not Pretty Maids or Diamond Head is beyond me. The world is headed towards the last day so this song is a soundtrack to the nightmare we've turned the world into.

.. it does not sound as good as i made it out to be when i use to listen to it back then. .. now do not get me wrong, i love Metal from the 80's and so forth, and new Metal i hardly pay attention to unless it sounds really good and has that "groove" that other music does not possess. .. i still like, just not how awesome i thought it was when i was a kid.

It's been quite a few years since I first listened to this song, but to this day it remains the most kick-ass song I've ever heard!

Man had this on recorded tape from an old radioprogram called Rock Box nerver knew the name of the group. Almost 30 years later I know. The best thing with the tube to discover sounds from your youth , an man felling old now. Great song..
