To johnny197744.... as a guitar player who has studied technique and theory since the age of 14 (51 now), for you to say E.C's technique is he way beginners really play..... I would LOVE to see a beginner play like that!!!!! Not only is his right hand strong with a plectrum, playing both rhythm and lead, but it also strong doubling up, ie. holding a plec and picking also.... but his left hand is flawless.. transitions between notes and chords are insane.... he doesn't use OTT effects... I'm thinking you're either a slash fan or 'The Edge' fan!!!
