Он был застрелен 27 февраля 1904 года в местности под названием Лужице (сейчас - Польша, тогда - Лаузиц, Германия). Это был последний застреленный в Германии волк, ведший свободный образ жизни (то есть, охотился и жил в лесу, а не в заповеднике).Лесник, застреливший его, получил 100 рейхсмарок.Волк несколько раз уходил от охотников, но в итоге около деревни Хойерсверды (Hoyerswerda) убежать ему не удалось.Волк весил 41 кг, в длину был 1 метр 60 см, высота в холке - 80 см.До этого волк часто охотился на местный домашний скот. Так как волков в этих местах не встречали очень давно, решили, что этот волк сбежал из цирка. В связи с тем, как он расправлялся с жертвами и с местом, где его увидали впервые (деревня Саброд), он и получил своё прозвище.

There's actually a connotation to that, relating to St. Peter. In other religions such as my own Native American spirituality, there is a connection between Shamans and the Great Spirit (aka "God"). There are connotations that wolves, especially werewolves, are not like other people, humans, that they are not lambs, but they protect the lambs and are god's guard dogs of earth, they are, you could say, warriors of light, the attack dogs of god (as opposed to the angels who are generals).

Possible,, the tiger of sabrodt was the last shot wolf in germany in early 1900. He was very swiftly, cautious and mayestatic, as its told.
