people of the '90s SUCKED, they betrayed thrash metal to embrace a simpler-less progressive brand of metal (Pantera, etc) or just braindead nu-metal (Korn, Deftones, etc), I can totally understand the decadence of glam/hair-metal back in 1991-93, but why the fuck did people get tired of thrash???? when thrash died, the influences of the '70s and the NWOBHM were finally put to rest, a crying shame

Helped book this guys to open up for COC at the 7th street entry oct 1985. Very tight band. Still have all their stuff on cassette tape. Even have a few old tix stubs from first ave. Now if I can only find my old powermad T shirts :)

Back in the late 80's-early 90's, it seemed that there were literally HUNDREDS of top notch Thrash bands who were all releasing purchase- worthy albums! Unless you came from a relatively wealthy family, you had to be pretty picky with your purchases! So,bands without access to any major amount of media exposure were basically "on the outside looking in" while all of the bigger bands enjoyed success. Plus,a lot of these bands were on pretty obscure labels to begin with and it was next to impossible to even find some of those albums, let alone buy them.
