Lyrics:

We are the soldiers under God's command

We hold His two-edged sword within our hands

We're not ashamed to stand up for what's right

We win without sin, it's not by our might

And we're fighting all the sin

And the good book -- it says we'll win!

Soldiers, Soldiers, under command

Soldiers, Soldiers, fighting the Lords battle plan

Are you a soldier under God's command

Help fight the good fight, join us while you can

The battle that's waiting is fought so easily

Through Him, without sin there is victory

And were fighting all the sin

And the good book -- it says we'll win!

The so-called "Devil" horns are mistakenly called the "Cornado" (it is Cornetto - "little horn" in Italian) by modern American Christians, but it goes back in antiquity as the Malocchio, (which is misspelled - based on how it sounds - as "Maloik" - like "Muh-loyk"). You hold the horns up and then flip them toward the person as you say "Malocchio", and it literally means "Evil Eye" or "Bad Eye". It is quite literally held up to ward off or DEFEND against the evil eye.If you watch videos of Ronnie James Dio live, you will periodically see him hold the horns up, and then sort of flick his wrist so that they point at the audience.... that is the action of GIVING the evil eye.One of my friend's mom (she is in her late 80's now) was born and raised in Italy and she would see us doing it 30+ years ago and she said,"You're doing wrong way!" in her broken English. Then she showed us how it is done and what is said, and why... which was pretty cool.

he said his grandmother (?) used it as a sign to ward off the devil. As in keep him away. Why do we listen to idiots who say anything else?!

@vicioustrucker68 vicioustrucker68 You must be one of the biggest misinformed douchebag I have heard spewing shit. Get your facts straight instead of being another drug induced born again christian still suffering from your little acid trip. People like you really just need to stay in your little rubber room..."Look it Up"...LOL...Yeah because we should believe EVERYTHING we read and hear.

@vicioustrucker68 Don't be an idiot. RJD was not a Satanist - he didn't even believe in Satan. He believed in this life. He said that was the only thing you knew for sure was this life, and that we could either have Heaven or Hell right here, right no - it all depended upon what you did with your life to make it one or the other. The choice is yours.

@vicioustrucker68 RJD was raised a Catholic and essentially felt Christianity was forced upon him, so he rebelled against it.

Read interviews with Dio where he explained the devil horns sign. It is not what you claim, or millions of others claimed.

I like the guitars(tone wise)... vocal harmonies are cool. I just dont like it when bands cover a song and don't learn the original guitar solo, the one played here is ok but I just like the original.

I didn't say Dio was a Christian. But, the "devil horns" was a superstitious symbol used to block the evil eye as mentioned by dvinston in a comment made last month. In case you're wondering, you don't have to necessarily be a Christian to believe that evil exists.

@Rawk4Life that doesnt means that. Anyway dio is not a christian dude.

Ronnie James Dio himself said his grandmother would use that sign to try and ward off evil.
