I remember when this was screened, as part of the programme 'Britpop Now' on BBC2. It was a Tuesday or Wednesday night back in 1995. Damon Albarn hosted it, but it may as well have been called "Damon Albarn And Friends". He and his band had a famous spat with Oasis as we all remember and Oasis's omission from the programme, and the fact there was no mention of them on the programme either, is confirmation that the alternative title for the show that I've just mentioned would have been a good one. A show on Britpop and no feature, or mention, of Oasis? The equivilant of a show about prog rock without featuring or mentioning Genesis, or a show about 1960's British music without mentioning or featuring The Rolling Stones. Also Damon Albarn dressed as a country squire as Blur performed 'Country House' on this show. I remember my friend saying "why is he dressed like that? What a prat!". Attempts at irony by artists doesn't always work.
