Exactly. It's really selfish. What if he had something coming up or was getting her a birthday present as a surprise? Some people just aren't considerate in relationships. Sure, you should pay attention to the other person, but they have other things in their life to balance out too. I never understood this song when I was younger...but the girl is pretty shallow.
