Newly re-configured as a three piece, Portico (Duncan Bellamy, Milo Fitzpatrick and Jack Wyllie) are delighted to unveil a brand new song from their forthcoming album.

Bordering on the hallucinatory, their hypnotic music moves forwards towards distant places, arriving somewhere between structured pop songs and a disintegrating ambience. “Living Fields” featuring vocals by Jono McCleery is the perfect introduction.

The band is also thrilled to announce that they’ve signed to Ninja Tune. Currently in the studio putting the finishing touches to the full length, with collaborators Jamie Woon, Jono McCleery and Joe Newman (Alt-J).

Portico are on tour this autumn, and their new album will be released in March 2015, check http://porticomusic.co.uk for more info.

Love that they're back. Will miss the hang drums, but that is in the past. Bring on March!

It works well as an introduction and building block for something which both P + JM are both proven in and capable of delivering. Without the lyrics it would be rather disappointingly bland. But those lyrics, and the timing and movement of the music behind them offer a tantalising and quality message that there could be some powerful highs and lows to come. How can one not be excited by the prospect of a new piece of work from three of the original four that was PORTICO QUARTET!! ...Also, well done to Nick, your album is on regularly in the kitchen at ours, love it! Portico Quartet is less enjoyed by the good lady, but hugely by me. Sounding good and standing proud.

First song I've heard by Portico.I hope not to offend anyone by saying it sounds like James Blake imitation.I'll look into more of their music.
