i have all of port blue's albums...the arctic, the airship, the pacific, the albatross, and a bunch of B-sides, and demos off of How I Became A (Sky?) Sailor, but this song alone remains one of my favorites.

The first time I heard this song, I didn't like it because of the footsteps. But now.. It's just amazing how good this song is!

I think this song is the perfect song to describe feeling alone in a room filled with people.

This song used to annoy the crap out of me 'cause of the footsteps but I love it now.

Hey everyone! I'm a ambient/post-rock artist inspired by Port Blue (Adam Young) and Hammock. If you love this style check it out!

Owl City is the name to represent Adam Young himself and Port Blue is his unreleased album.

Adam is such an inspiration. Any fellow Port Blue fans, I would greatly appreciate insight and critique on a project I've been working on. You can stream it on SoundCloud under the moniker Silver Empires.

This personally reminds me of a person walking away from their problems. Whether its leaving somoene or moving past a complication in life. Cause when you walk away from something, those back ground noises... its either people talking about how youve made the wrong choice, or your head telling you to go back. But you keep walking... and pushing. And at the end when you push past those voices... You find youreself walking steadily again. And those thoughts are gone. You made it.

I imagine the footsteps to be those of Captain Walken. If you're not sure who that is, go read Airborn by Kenneth Oppel and understand why it inspired Adam Young so deeply ("The Airship", this piece's album, was inspired by the book). It helps you imagine the music in a whole new light, as the music helps you envision what Oppel described so beautifully. Well done, Adam, on not just the music, but on the feeling you've created with this. It's a beautiful illustration.

Thanks for replying to my comment, I'm glad to see it has so many likes, though I am surprised that it has been so long since I've last been here. Time escapes me. Or have I escaped time?
