Those are probably just your typical lights, although for fingerpicking I really prefer the fatter strings.

I'm sure I'm not picking it like Fahey did (nor could I ever hope to!), but to me, this one felt a little bit like a souped-up version of the Going to California picking. When I gestured at the start to pick up the tempo, that was legit -- I had to kind of wind up the picking from a slow start. The left hand fretting is fairly elementary on this one.
