A wild ride, indeed. And, for a more in depth look at Niponese pop culture . . . check out Gintama (Silver Soul), an anime so fantastic that it can only be subbed . . . NEVER dubbed!

As soon as I realised this vid was a homage to all of the brightest and best entertainment Japan has ever made I immediately thought "This better show some Akira!". Even though it did, I was amazingly impressed that they also included Golgo 13, Tetsuo and the original seven samurai. Love this vid.

Hahahaha one of the best comments I've seen in the long time! :) Although just as we can see in the video, there are some bad sides to Japan as well :) But hey, nothing is perfect! Anyway, this music video just blew me away! This was amongst the most original music videos I've ever seen! The song is sooo awesome!

@volcomfire02 It's the original GiTS movie, from 1995. See it, if you haven't already. The manga upon which it is based is great, too, with a lot more detail and side stories (plus some humour, which is pretty much lacking in the movie). The Stand Alone Complex series is worth watching as well... a little goofier, but a ton of great action episodes interspersed with some clever detective fiction.
