Wow John Bush III you really don't understand that lyric at all. Go sit with the full text of America the Beautiful--there are I think 5 verses in the original hymn and see if you can't stymie your knee jerk reaction to the word crown or majesty and get at what the heart of the lyrics are saying.

This reminds me the kind of music that Bob Dylan and Joan Baez used to make to protest the Conservative Extremists in the 60's.Politician - Aloe BlaccPolitician - Aloe Blacc

I think the reference to "America the Beautiful" is meant to project it in an ironic light.

Beautiful song, unfortunately this song hypocritically talks against a ruling class then turns around giving credence to some supernatural "crown" and "majesty". God, though a fictional tyrant, is a tyrant all the same.

and "stabbing our backs" is not meant to be literal either. jeesh. some people are just shit heads! its a song with a nice vibe and interesting lyrics.

I wasn't aware that the use of "we" in lyrics had to literally mean the artist and his friends, or that "starving" always had to mean "on the verge of death from under-nutrition". In that case, Joni Mitchell's "We are stardust, we are golden" is weirder than I thought.

Since when is playing video games a bad thing? Seriously, find a better thing to insult someone over. There's millions of gamers who also happen to be activists, artists, musicians, and many other wonderful things.

You suck, you're a braindead video-game playing troll who has nothing original whatsoever to say or contribute to the world; since when is this "shit lounge music"??? think you better clear your ears out- right after you buy back your shrivelled little soul
