*EL DÍA 14 DE MAYO DE 1962**NACE EL MÚSICO COMPOSITOR Y GUITARRISTA ¨Bruce Anthony Johannesson¨ MAS CONOCIDO COMO **"C.C. DEVILLE"** (POISON)*Hoy cumple 53 años *C.C.Deville* es el guitarrista líder de la banda de Glam metal y Hard rock estadounidense *Poison*. la revista Guitar Word Magazine lo coloco en el puesto nº34 en la lista de los " 100 mejores guitarristas del metal "Su interés por la música comenzó desde ñiño cuando ve *The Beatles* actuar en The Ed Sullivan Show. *DeVille* comenzó a tocar la guitarra a la edad de cinco años. A medida que su pasión por la música creció, comenzó a escuchar a bandas como *Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Cheap Trick, Queen*, y, especialmente, *kiss*.Su debut como músico se produjo en la banda de Hard Rock *Lace*, donde adoptó la imagen Glam que lo caracterizaría a través de los años. Sin embargo, años más tarde audicionaría para la banda *Poison*, donde competiría con el guitarrista *Slash* (ex-Guns n' Roses), logrando el puesto de guitarrista líder. *DeVille* fue importante en los primeros años de *Poison*, escribiendo junto a *Bret Michaels* la mayoría de las canciones de los discos *Look What the Cat Dragged In (1986), Open Up And Say...Ahh!, (1988)* y *Flesh and Blood (1990)*.Salió de *Poison* por drogarse en un espectáculo en MTV; *C.C. DeVille* tuvo una pésima presentación, pues falló reiteradamente, se le desconectó su instrumento y luego tuvo en camerinos una pelea con *Bret Michaels*. Por ello, fue reemplazado por el guitarrista *Richie Kotzen*.Luego *DeVille* formó la agrupación *Samantha 7*, una banda de muy corta duración compuesta por el guitarrista *Ty Longley*, el bajista *Krys Baratto* y el baterista *Francis Ruiz*. Se presentaron en Woodstock en 1999. En el 2000 grabaron un disco titulado homónimamente. También participó como guitarrista en la grabación de la canción *Cherry Pie*, de la banda de Hard Rock estadounidense *Warrant. Deville* aparece también en un episodio de la serie South of Nowhere y participa en el 2007 en el reality Las olimpiadas de la vida surrealista(título en español) de la cadena VH1 siendo eliminado en 9.º lugar. También participó con el legendario *Sam Kinison* (fallecido en 1992) en uno de sus discos junto con otros guitarristas como *Joe Perry, Slash o Richie Sambora*, además de casi todo el sindicato glam de los años 80, del cual se destaca un cover de un tema original de *Jimmy Hendrix, Wild Thing*. Es hoy en día uno de los mejores guitarristas del mundo y goza de su fama por todo el orbe. *C.C.* también es reconocido por su buen humor, *Bret* ha contado: "*C.C.* es además del más heavy en el grupo, es el más cómico entre muchas personas, nos alegra siempre".

i would of liked to see cc deville audition for metallica for the hell of it. hes always had such clean solos, he barely fucks up. even when he was at his worst in life it didnt really fuck up his playing very much. poisen isnt a very very fast band but cc i think could keep up with something like battery. id also like to see him try even a mustaine song just to see how he would do speed wise because i think he could do it
