Pointer Sisters - Should I do it 1981

I swore when he hurt me so

I wouldn't see him anymore

But today he called my name

Oh, i could feel the same old flame

Should i do it

Should i fall

Should i do it

After all, oh

Is it crazy

Is it right

I really wanna love him tonight

Should i do it

Should i play

Can i help it

Anyway

Whenn i feel him

Hold me tight

I'm gonna turn on

Like a light

I know when we're in his car

I couldn't go just so far

I wanna give him everything

So, when i hear the telephone ring,

Yeah

Oh, I'm so lonely

And he's so fine

Maybe i should swallow my pride

Just one, one, one more time

Dominick The Sax Man,,,,, I play my sax along with the song. I get a lot of practice with this number. I look for the one song ( "Should I do it") that is the longest They are a group that is saying something....

UNLUCKY 13 or LUCKY 13???: "Should I Do It" peaked at No. 13 and spent a total of 16 weeks on Billboard's Top 100 in 1982... {Was it bad luck to have stopped at #13 or good luck that it spent 16 weeks on the charts???} This was the 2nd record by The Pointer Sisters to not only peak at No. 13 but to also stay in the Top 100 for 16 weeks, that record was "Fairytale" in 1974/75...

@swooningtree I think this was filmed back when the audience was treated as sitting ducks. They were more "instructed" than the performers. Meaning... The producers probably wanted the sisters to be the sole focus of the video, and the audience was instructed to sit still so they wouldn't be a distraction. Happened a lot in the 70's and 80's.

.....i love martha and the vandellas---best, most soulfull motown group. ........motown was the pioneer, but the pointers brought the girl group to the supergroup level....... this song is interesting . the whole style of it is exactly the sound of martha and the vandellas. the sax-everything very old school. i love it. the pointers are doing the jerk and the pony in the background. they knew exactly what they were doing here......it's a tribute song to the old girl groups. kind of gutsy,
