PM Dawn - You Got Me Floatin.wmv video free download

This is another track from the "Stone Free - A Tribute" album.

It features PM Dawn, who at the time was kind of a psychedelic rap group.

I like this song because it adds a different dimension to Jimi's music. Even though Rap music didn't exist when Jimi was around, I think he would like this version of his song, too.

Besides the nice harmonies, the other distinctive feature of the song is the "crushing" guitar part, which starts screaming near the end of the song :-) . I haven't heard any other rap songs which had a lot of (non-sampled) lead guitar and psychedelia in them...which also makes it interesting. And Jimi himself is sampled at the end of the song, a nice segue from new to the Master himself.
