I remember hearing this song for the first time. I almost cried as I heard the lyrics. I knew it was song about a woman whom been through abuse. Sadly,the woman whom song it to me was a victum of such abuse by her stepfather and several of her ex-boyfriends. We're still friends to this day,but i know it is very hard for jer to trust or even love another guy again.

Thanks for your honesty; there is hope for all who have been damaged. When I first heard this song I felt anger towards those who have caused this pain but I knew I had to forgive and move on; this song reminded me to continue to do just that... there is healing, there is peace & I will never be afraid; God is always near. See, I was just a little boy... I feel the pain but I want to move on and feel the love that God has for me. Thanks to Plumb, this redemption version spoke to my heart. Peace

The first time I heard this song I was running with it pouring through my earphones and I came to an abrupt halt and started bawling uncontrollably. i have experienced the prison of every nuance of this song....So for a few years when I would hear it I would just cry...and feel the numb reality of continuing in the pain....then when the redemption version came...the numb surprisingly lifted....the pain and memories continue...but hope permeates and gives light to the journey. Thank you....
