If you don't like religion in your music don't go to religious music. It is simple. Or look at it through a secular lens and ignore the religious meaning behind it. Example: I like Skillet's music before I converted and became religious.

I've been a semi-Pagan since I was 13. I say semi-Pagan because I don't believe in the gods as humanoid beings that live in some ethereal realm. I believe in the gods as characters representing different aspects of humanity. For me, one character, and especially a flawless one, isn't enough to encompass the whole of humanity. There are many types of person so there are many characters to represent them. I don't pray to them. I don't worship them. I just live and hope that I don't die each day.

I'm sorry, I thought that if I refused hm, I go to hell? The only "benefit" of me "loving him" is that I get to go to heaven when I die. Personally, neither place exists. They're probably referred to as emotions or states of mind in ancient literature, rather than actual places (because it is PHYSICALLY impossible to go to them). And you seem to think that humanity is too stupid to realize god, is that true? Because It's rather the opposite. God is too stupid to believe in.

I respect your right to own your own opinion. Your rejection of "agape" love is what is completely amazing! Not, amazing in an offensive way- but in a way that creates more love for you!!! To be honest, I don't think religion was ever meant to be taken as seriously as you take it. Most of it is to explain spirituallity and the high emotions. Anyway. I have gone through life without ever feeling anything holy or godlike (I've even been to church), and I have never expected anything more (mostly because I'm not delusional). What you say is foolish. He never shows himself! How can you say that when he has never shown himself? That's like dating a girl you'll never see. No thanks!

You need not clamor for His attention- you have had it from the moment your cells began to divide! He lives to give YOU attention. We humans, in our "sub-minimal" intellect have always had this disadvantage over our omnipotent Creator. We have struggled to understand what He could possibly want from us in return for His love. I'm an atheist. That means that I dont believe in God. I've thought that way since I was a boy. Your comment only fills me with layers of emotion, if you will. On the outside layer Im angry, frustrated, disgusted. But on the inside I'm saddened, mournful. Thats because you sound so sub-minimal in intellect. I will not clamor like a toddler for the attention of God, I do not need to rely on him for morals, guidance, or comfort. I am good, I love and recieve love, I feel, and I live, all on my own
